U.S. Surgeon General Releases New Report on Second - view site
The U.S. Surgeon General released a new report on the dangers of secondhand smoke entitled “The Health Effects of Involuntary Exposure to Tobacco Smoke.” The report details the overwhelming scientific evidence that exposure to secondhand smoke is harmful, and concludes that there is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke. The report also affirmed past conclusions that secondhand smoke is a cause of lung cancer and heart disease. The report comes from an official and trusted source, and should be an excellent resource when advocating for comprehensive smoke free air laws.
